What is the benefit to joining Cavoq?

Alleviate your responsibilities of singular car ownership or long term leasing.  Our members will have the opportunity to drive a variety of vehicles.  After each member has passed their initial short term requirement, members can change to other vehicles up and down the class categories at their own choice. Whether you choose to drive a different car every month or hold on to something for a bit longer.

Why Cavoq instead of buying or leasing my own car?

When you purchase or lease a car on your own, your monthly payment is contractually committed to that same vehicle for years.  You pay the same every month, as the same car ages.  With Cavoq membership, you gain absolute flexibility in what you drive and for how long.  After each member meets the initial short term requirements, Cavoq members enjoy the ability of a fresh automotive experience whenever a member is ready for it.  Try out the competition, expand your product knowledge, and enjoy variety in driving.  Importantly, a Cavoq membership releases our members of all maintenance and service hassles.  You gas it or charge it, and we'll take care of the rest.

What requirements will I need to meet in order to to join Cavoq?

All applying members will need to be at least 25 years of age, with a clean driving history.  All applicants driving history will be subject to verification.

What initial fees are required for Cavoq membership?

Entering members are subject to an application fee, and will need to provide a security deposit upon approval and signature of their Cavoq membership. The deposit is equal to 50% of the first 6 months contract.  The deposit will be conditionally fully refundable upon a member’s exit from Cavoq, however subject to any outstanding fees or contractual balances.

What are the initial short-term requirements for new members?

There are two options new members can choose from.

A) Premium Select members can specify a new car and be the first to drive that vehicle for a minimum of 10 months.

B) Flex Choice members can select vehicles from available cars in the Cavoq pool for 6 months. 

After these initial periods, members can maintain monthly Flex Choice memberships giving access to vehicles from the Cavoq pool, or enter into another Premium Select choice for an additional 10 months.

What are the limitations to driving a Cavoq car compared to a traditional lease?

The responsible expectations of members are very similar to that of long term leased vehicles.  Members are encouraged to treat the vehicle as if it is their own.  Vehicles will be available with mileage allowance, Insurance, and maintenance included each month.  The member’s only responsibility is for gas or charging.

Do I need to have my own insurance?

Cavoq’s fleet has full coverage insurance for each member while driving one of our vehicles.  However, for maximum protection dependent upon each member’s needs, we highly suggest for members to verify any need to carry additional coverage individually.

Where can I drive a Cavoq car?

Our cars can be driven wherever you would drive your own personal vehicle on public roads with the exception of crossing country borders to Mexico or Canada.  Cavoq vehicles cannot be used in any track, circuit or off road courses. Members must maintain a permanent address within a Cavoq service area to take full advantage of Cavoq’s services.

Who owns Cavoq’s cars?

Cavoq Corporation maintains ownership or lease of all vehicles available to Members.

How does Cavoq compare to other shared car clubs or fractional ownership memberships?

With Cavoq membership, members can use their chosen vehicle everyday, replacing the need to personally own or lease a vehicle over many years.  Other automotive club Memberships focus selectively on elite vehicles, which are only driven occasionally for pleasure use. Cavoq vehicles can be driven every day eliminating the need to own other personal transportation. Cavoq offeres a variety of vehicles for every enthusiast’s budget.

Do I have to pick up my next vehicle, or bring my vehicle to Cavoq in order to change to another?

No, Cavoq is full service, and will meet you with your next car at any location within our service area at an available time that is most convenient to you.

What about Roadside or emergency assistance?

All vehicles come with 24 hour roadside assistance. If a tow is necessary, a new temporary vehicle will be brought in its place, while Cavoq works to swiftly get your ideal wheels back to you.

Who can drive the Member’s car?

Each Member can have one additional person approved to drive their vehicle, who meets the age requirement, and driving background verification.  If the additional person would like to have their own vehicle, then a new membership will need to be set up for them.
